John Goss (1887 - 1963)

John Goss was born in Lewiston, Maine. He began painting in watercolor and drawing when he was nine years old. At the age of 18 he studied at Rhode Island School of Design. He went to Boston in 1906, where he shared a studio with type designer and illustrator, W.A. (Bill) Dwiggins. Goss is known for illustration, design, marine and landscape.
